Mobility
The business world is going mobile.
"By 2008, the US business market is expected to support nearly 51 million telecommuters, nearly 14 million of which are expected to work from home full-time". More than half of US hotels offer high-speed internet access in their guest rooms. This number has doubled in the last three years (Instat/MDR).
Mobility is becoming a standard that your customers and employees have come to expect and that your company needs in order to compete in today's market. Sales and management employees must be able to conduct business while away from the office. Fortunately, advanced telecommunication systems, leveraging on the latest technologies, lead the way to optimal and cost-effective mobility.
Connegy's emaGEN is a comprehensive voice processing application platform that provides advanced Unified Messaging, voice mail and automated attendant facilities, plus an application generator and other optional applications that are elegantly integrated with the UNITe lP systems' switch. A series of state-of-the-art communication features integrate with emaGEN, while enhancing and building on its basic voice mail capabilities, including the following:
- Unified Messaging, including email, fax and voice messages
- Fax messaging, fax-on-demand - enhanced by the fax server
- Text-to-speech
- Speech recognition
- Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Client applications
- Web-based control and maintenance.
With emaGEN Unified Messaging, voice messages can be viewed in email software (such as Outlook, Eudora or others) compatible with POP3 and IMAP configurations. These voice messages are saved as WAV files and can be played back over PC multimedia or over UNITe IP system telephones, or to any telephone number -- such as a home phone or cell phone.
emaGEN Call Control Client (CCC) allows a user to control their own mailbox only, from a web browser. Calls transferred via emaGEN can be viewed, including Caller ID, utilizing the Call Control Client.
With emaGEN's text-to-speech feature, you can be notified of email messages when accessing your voice mailbox, and the email messages in your mailbox can be read back to you.
Your voice reply to any email message can be accompanied by an attached WAV file.
Email messages can be forwarded to five pre-programmed email addresses. The Visual List Screen appearing on Telrad Connegy telephones will display email messages, as well as voice messages.
Notification of waiting fax messages can also be received via emaGEN when accessing your voice mailbox. Faxes can be sent to a fax number of your selection, and with Unified Messaging installed, faxes can be sent to your email address. Computers on the network can use a fax port as a fax printer. Fax pages can be stored and sent on demand, and custom menus can be built to enhance and simplify fax usage.
On i.Picasso, Avanti 301 5ip, Avanti 3025, Avanti 3020F and Avanti 3020H telephone sets, emaGEN displays a list of voice mail messages with separate lists for New and Urgent, Old, Certified, Deleted and Future Delivery messages. These lists are accessed through the emaGEN menus on the telephone display The display shows the date, time, sender (Caller ID), and duration of the message. You can page through the list, or play any message on, by pressing the adjacent softkey or, on the i.Picasso, touching the screen.
If Caller ID information is presented to the system, the calling number is stored with the voice mail message, and can be read back on request.
